Where the sun bathes

He is tall and handsome, his branches quiver in the wind. Towards the sun, that's where he's headed.

***
Have I shown you this place? If you crawl underneath and hide in the shade you can watch the sun bathe, this is where she comes, every single day, sometimes wrapped in a cloud, sometimes bare.

***
I tried to climb a tree, to see further out to the future, but was faced with the inevitable: couldn't see the forest from the trees as the trees kept introducing themselves, one by one, with their first names and favourite shades of sunshine.

***
There is a line on the coast, to follow, it is where I walk. My thoughts are running ahead, their giggles echo in the wind, they like it there, in the future. I try to catch up but I am held back by my own weight and gravity. "Wait for me, future, I'm coming -I'm on my way!"

***
I believe in fairies, I always have.

Food for thought

A friend of mine sent me this quote:

"The work you do while you procrastinate is probably the work you should be doing for the rest of your life." Jessica Hische

I've spent extended hours in the kitchen.

My favourite part is setting up for the picture and choosing for cutlery and crockery.

Better than eating?

Yoga. Outdoors.

For the sake of distraction

I cook
for nourishment
for photos
and for the sake of distraction.

While cooking I
play ingredient puzzle in my head
mentally taste the combinations
and relax.

Today on my plate: Roasted butternut squash, marinated carrots, pan fried noodles with orange and cream, toasted cashews and sesame seeds.

Bookworm Fantasies

Hi There! I noticed I've started a flash-fiction project on Pinterest, almost surreptitiously from myself. The idea is that I write about the images I pin, fitting the storyline and my name to the given 500 marks.

A path of curiosity will take you there! Mielenkiinnon polkua pitkin pääset perille!

Ready already

I often can't remember if I've already said it, written it, or just thought about it. Or thought about saying it or writing it.

Have I told this already?

I'm ready.

Naturally calibrated

When you steal my words, I need to go and capture new ones. Floating carelessly in the air, jumping from trees, I get hold of their vibration and translate it into letters.

My birds, they're not meant for terrariums with low ceilings. Can't you see it? They need air under their wings.

I relocate my compass, it's naturally calibrated to point towards bliss. I still press re-set several times, just to be sure, but day after day it gives the same direction: an upward spiral.

To the clouds and beyond. They shall follow me, with their tails drawing new tales to tell, to the clouds and beyond.

A rudimentary treatment

I cut them in pieces with a sharp knife, as if they would seem anew after such a rudimentary treatment.

But no, it's a hoax! After forking them back into piles, the same old sentences! Still unable to attain the right flavour of these new thoughts.

I fall in a pit of explanations that serve no other purpose than filling the space with sound. Was it me who said that the city is too noisy?

Better to shut up. "All is well in my Universe, when I start taking pictures of my food."

Some oddly sculptured words

Some oddly sculptured words get stuck to my ears. I look them up and they sit into my internal dictionary with a logic of their own. Osmosis. Mitigate. Concoction.

I play around with them like they were plastic animals, unable to decide whether the setting resembles a jungle or a farm, or if I got some archaic dinosaurs in my hands?

Where do they roam? In an imaginary past that truly existed but none of us knows first hand yet we picture it like we did and so it does?

The same way future lies ahead.
